Scenic interlude.

We spent an extended weekend not-exactly-camping at my family’s 80 acre plot of land that never was but will always be referred to as “the farm.” If none of that makes any sense then you either don’t know me well enough or you just don’t have the energy to decipher my brand of gibberish.

So, let’s just say we stayed in a trailer in the woods and it was cold. But in many way my “hair brained” (as Cristi declared it) concept of a quick vacation went quite smoothly. The propane tanks held on for two chilly nights, the Husky-Varnee chainsaw provided plenty of wood to burn and we had a number of opportunities to enjoy the Kansas countryside in all its frigid glory. So, with that, here are a few pictures that should evoke a sense of warmth and give you goose bumps at the very same time.

I like it. When I come to visit, we must go there and drink some fine-crafted beers. It just has that sort of appeal.

Good times, it brings back lots of memories. I would like to do that again someday and bring your buddy Mike’s beer.
