Listen to the sound of locusts on an early summer night and you’ll agree that it’s a pleasant world—if you leave yourself open to it. Caution is advised, but maybe not always necessary. I’ve guessed about a lot of things and invented fantasies for many more, but I think my methodology works. Well, at least most of the time.
All’s well that ends well, but what if it’s the beginning? That’s a tough one. The more I think about it, tough is really what it’s all about. Mow your own lawn. Make your own progress. Eat some barbeque and don’t be afraid to get some on your face. Fake it when you need to, but don’t make it a way of life.
Make your way without making too much noise. It’s annoying. Especially when you share your corner of the world with other paying tenants. Take care. Take a moment to remember everything most of us are so quick to forget.
Happy Friday. Good luck with all your major decisions and insignificant notions. We’ll be here packing up the house. Preparing to start a new life in a new place. Not too far from home. Wherever that is.
