Why write when nobody reads?

I found an interesting spiel on the popularity of infographics this morning. The ironic twist is that you have to READ the explanations behind why people are so much more drawn to pictures to understand their point. While I agree with them for the most part, I still believe that words are necessary in communications. After all, in this household, words are what keep leftover pizza in the fridge and cars in the driveway.
