For the most part, this is a blog about nothing. I plan to keep it that way.
I could jump in on the Confederate Flag discussion, but I’ve already risked black eyes and missing teeth debating the subject with the redneck kids in my shop class back in high school.
I could tackle the issue of gay marriage, but I’ve already risked broken bones and punctured lungs when I escorted a friend’s lesbian mom to a gay rights gathering wearing a ball gown back in 1996.
Sometimes I feel like I should be making a difference instead of trying to make a living, but I don’t even know where to start. I could ramble on about war, the economy, healthcare and the consequences of social injustice, but it would just be more more static in a sea of fuzz.
Right now, I’m happy to have a cup of coffee, a sweet dog and an internet connection that gives me the ability to write yet another chunk of gibberish about nothing. Again.
Happy Friday? Who knows. I’d say life is good for the most part—too bad people are always trying to screw it up.
